A Hiking Honeymoon…

For the last week or so I have been travelling through the National parks of the USA and Canada and seen some of the most amazing sites of my life!

When I initially embarked on this trip I had envisaged hiking through the National Parks as a leisurely (and to be honest, easy) task, oh how wrong I have been!

As a regular gym-goer I thought myself pretty fit, however I would compare my hiking experiences so far to 6 hours of back to back spin classes *if you have ever been spinning, you will know what I mean!*

It’s not all bad though, after all of the huffing, puffing, sweating, blisters and sometimes even tears (!) the view from the top is ALWAYS worth it. (Plus think of the toning effects… slim thighs here I come!)

If you’re an active person and into outdoor sports I would highly recommend a honeymoon hiking in America.

If, like me, you’re new to hiking but fancy giving it a go, I would advise practising walking at an incline or hill walks (if you surrounding area allows it) for a few weeks before *also a great way to tone up before the big day* If possible try and engage in a little bit of altitude training too, the air gets pretty thin up there!

My favourite place so far (and the most romantic) has been Lake Louise in Banff, Canada. A gorgeous aquamarine lake surrounded by mountains, gorgeous 5 star hotels and a picture post card town. What else could a newlywed couple ask for…?

Hope you like the pics, I will keep more coming…
