As of a few weeks ago, I am very happy to tell you that I am engaged!!!! So ridiculously happy and can’t wait to be Mr and Mrs with my lovely fiancee.
Obviously I *love* all things wedding. I love lacy dresses with lots of layers, mismatched bridesmaids, towers of cupcakes and jam jar flower arrangements. In fact I love all these and a whole lots more, which won’t come as a surprise to you – since I helped to create this lovely blog!
However being surrounded by constant wedding inspiration can have its pitfalls, and sometimes I’m simply spoilt for choice and I’m sure it isn’t just me that feels this way. So this is a bit of a personal post as I have a bride-to-be revelation!
As much as you want your guests to have fun at your wedding, the only people you should ultimately want to please, are you and your partner. Don’t lose track of who you are and what you want! If you want burgers and chips for your wedding breakfast, have them. If you want a bright, colourful wedding with clashing colours, do it! And if you don’t want the classic white dress, then be different! Just make sure it is all about the 2 of you and that your day is a true reflection of you as a couple.
I am now off to start my planning, my Pinterest boards of inspiration and to search for the perfect dress…..!
