Streamers and Tassels…
Posted on May 20, 2013 | No CommentsI can’t believe it’s Monday already, where has this last week gone!? I’ve been waiting to do this post for a while as I wanted to gather up a really strong collection of images for this mood board. There are tons of gorgeous images of streamers and tassels all over Pinterest and I’ve kinda fallen in love with them. I particularly love the tassels balloon handles, what a great way to jazz up a balloon! Best of all it’s a... -
Moss-t Exciting…
Posted on May 6, 2013 | No CommentsHappy Monday everyone! As usual I have chosen another bizarre theme for today’s ramblings but just wait, all will become normal. I promise! As i’m sure you’ve gathered from the title and leading image, the focus of this post is *drum roll please* Moss. Erm, what?! As they say (and i’m not sure who ‘they’ are, but lets fly with it) the devil is in the detail. And so this is a little detail that I have noticed popping up... -

So although it might mean weeks (or months) of collecting fabric and making bunting… it will all be worth it in the end. Below are some of my favourite projects from the world-wide web. If you have a go at any of these or have any more ideas, then we would love to know. Wow your guests if you are having a destination wedding... -

For The Love Of Chevron…
Posted on April 8, 2013 | No CommentsToday I thought i’d rave about how much I like Chevrons. I’m partial to any kind of repetitive bold pattern: stripes, polka dots, zig-zags etc and so it’s no surprise that a punchy chevron or two always attracts my attention. It looks great on soft furnishings (I particularly enjoy grey and white chevrons on chairs for some reason?) but also makes for a great wedding pattern. Here’s a small collection of pretty chevron-y pics for some nice symmetrical Monday inspiration. Enjoy… -
Colour Palette: Sunset Musings…
Posted on March 29, 2013 | No CommentsSometimes you are instantly drawn to something for no particular reason. This picture was one of those times for me. I think it’s that I love everything about it to be honest! The colours, the lines, the brush strokes. All as one beautiful work of art. It reminds me of a breathtaking sunset I witnessed on Santa Monica pier when the sky went from dusty pink to burnt orange and finally set to blend in with the teal sea {falls... -

Colour Palette: Summer Breeze…
Posted on March 11, 2013 | No CommentsIt may be chilly outside but hints of summer are peeking through (slowly), so I thought i’d do a colour palette to get us all a lil excited about summer pastels. I love every photo in this mood board (it’s a little longer than usual as I couldn’t bare to leave any out), they are a reflection of the light and carefree mood that summer often brings (and make for a beautiful summer wedding palette). You can see all of... -
Be Pinspired…
Posted on March 4, 2013 | No CommentsHappy Monday everyone, I hope you had a lovely weekend. So, lets dive straight in. Who else is obsessed with Nutella, braids and painted nails thanks to Pinterest? I don’t think I realised in until I found these wise words from Someecards, but they are oh so true and totally set the tone for today’s post. I wanted to spend some time giving appreciation to my favourite (and rather addictive) social platform. I want to thank Pinterest for allowing me to indulge in many... -
Valentine’s Treats…
Posted on February 11, 2013 | No CommentsRight guys, it’s time for the mushy stuff… It wouldn’t be right of us to let Valentine’s Day approach without throwing a few lovey dovey posts into the mix. Retailers always go a little crazy around this time of year and it would be rude not to partake in a lil retail therapy for our loved ones {or even for ourselves, sshhh.} Don’t worry there will be no kissing couples, red roses or fluffy teddies. Just a few cute bits... -

Mason Jars and Vintage Tins…
Posted on January 18, 2013 | No CommentsOld jars and tins are perfect for adding add a home-spun feel to a wedding and are a great in-expensive way to decorate the tables. Whether you have a love for vintage or are more of a cosmo bride this DIY décor idea can be easily tailored to suit any wedding theme. I love DIY weddings, there’s something about the uniqueness and prettiness of it all that really appeals to me. I’m not much of a ‘here’s one I made earlier’ type of... -

Paper Pom Poms…
Posted on November 23, 2012 | No CommentsI’ve always wanted to try making tissue paper pom poms so this week I went and bought some pretty pink tissue paper and some craft wire, and got stuck in. I was a little worried about how they would turn out as i’m not great at paper crafts but I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was. It’s a great idea if you are having a D.I.Y wedding as you can colour coordinate your pom poms to suit your...
